We offer classes for students of all ages, which can be taken at one of many convenient times.  Our studio hosts many talented and impassioned teachers. Our shared learning philosophy is low student-teacher ratios. Our students progress quickly with our highly interactive instruction.

 

Current class offerings include:

  • Pottery on the Wheel -- A six week wheel intensive class for all skill levels.  Class maximum is six so you get the hands on instruction needed for quick progress!  The average beginning student leaves with 8 to 10 creations during a six week class.  In addition to mastering throwing, students learn to incorporate texture & dimension and raku fire two pieces.

  • Combined Wheel and Hand building -- Exploring all of the clay techniques, students gain exposure to throwing on the wheel, slab building, coiling, pinch pots and extrusion.  Textural and glaze enhancements are also covered.

  • Fusion Fridays -- project based glass fusion fun.  Students can create fused glass plates, vases, votive holders, wind chimes and more.  By reservation 48 hours before studio times. 

  • Drawing -- Before we can learn to draw, we have to learn to see!  This course teaches visual perspective as well as manual techniques necessary to transfer what is seen onto paper.  Students furnish sketchpad.

  • Painting with Acrylics  & Watercolors   -- Take an adventure in acrylics or watercolor.  Our 6 week classes cover visual perspective, brush stroke techniques and corrective painting techniques

  • Mixed Media - Explore acrylics, watercolors, drawing, hand building with clay and pottery on the wheel.  A great way to uncover hidden talents and art interests!  

  • Preschool Art --   Instill a passion for art  in your 2 - 5 year old while developing fine motor skills.  Keepsake projects incorporate BioColor paints, scissors, “edible arts” drawing & more.

  • Introduction to Stained Glass -Beginning level class that teaches the basics of stained glass design and crafting.  Class includes an introduction to the various types of stained glass.  Pattern making, safety tips, glass cutting, copper foiling, assembly, and soldering will be practiced through completion of a project.  Materials are supplied. All tools are supplied for in-class use only.

 

In addition to structured classes, we offer a variety of workshops and creative projects for hand building with clay, Precious metal jewelry, Raku firings, mosaics,  basketry, and much more.

 

Pottery Painting Studio

Our contemporary studio is stocked with unique selection of items. Uniquely, we offer many wheel-thrown ceramic bisque items on which you can impart your creativity.
